Great news for new builds in the north west

SDPC (NW) are new build painting specialists that have been operating in the north west since 2008. We can definitely vouch for the reported growth in new build homes, having recently completed a number of large projects in Liverpool and Manchester with no time to come up for air!

The Government have recently highlighted the high growth in new housing in the north west as being the highest property price rises in the UK. Recent statistics points to a strong surge in new build development, especially in the north west. According to the NHBC more than 13,500 new homes are registered to be built in the UK in April, which is an increase of 21% compared to a year ago. A significant amount of this growth has been in the north west and merseyside.

Living around greater Manchester you cannot miss the number of construction projects taking place in the city centre and the amazing family homes springing up particularly in Cheshire and Lancashire.

But what is happening to the market to propel this growth?

The Northern Powerhouse is driving investment into the city and as we have media city on the doorstep which attracts business into the region.

Much of it is down to regeneration – the development and cultivation of historic areas. The local council are bringing them into the 21st century, whilst paying tribute to their past and what they represented. This is occurring on a huge scale. Manchester’s skyline is changing, so it’s only right that things are also shifting on the ground and making renters keener to live there. Investors are filling that demand.

More regeneration work is planned in Manchester including Great Ducie Street, Angel Meadow and Ancoats.

At SD painting we are excited to be part of the future north west landscape. Check out our recent projects that have all played a part in the expansion.
